I believe in straightforward, transparent billing. Here is everything you need to know about how I charge for my services and when payment is expected.
MY RATES
HOURLY
Starting at $75 / hr
Billed in 15-minute increments. The minimum billable unit is $18.75.
MONTHLY RETAINER
Negotiated per client
Retainer rates are discussed and agreed upon before work begins.
PROJECT RATE
Negotiated per project
Fixed-fee project pricing is available and scoped on a case-by-case basis.
All rates are confirmed in writing prior to the start of any engagement. If your needs change mid-project, I will discuss any rate adjustments with you before they take effect.
How time is tracked
Hourly work is logged in 15-minute increments. Time is recorded from the moment active work on your matter begins, including calls, research, drafting, coordination, and any other billable activity through to completion.
- The smallest billable unit is 15 minutes ($18.75 at the standard rate).
- Time is rounded to the nearest 15-minute increment never up to the nearest hour.
- Each invoice includes a description of services rendered so you can see exactly what was worked on.
Invoicing and payment
Invoice sent
Invoices are issued by email at the end of each calendar month, summarizing all work completed during that period.
Payment due within 5 business days
Payment is expected within 5 business days of the invoice date. Accepted payment methods will be noted on your invoice.
Questions or disputes
If you have a question about a charge, please reach out within 5 business days of receiving the invoice. I am happy to review and clarify any line item.
Retainer and project arrangements
For clients who prefer predictable monthly costs or have a defined scope of work, I offer retainer and project-based pricing. These arrangements are scoped and agreed upon before work begins and documented in a written agreement.
- Retainer agreements outline a set monthly amount in exchange for a defined scope of availability or services.
- Project agreements include a fixed fee, a clear scope of work, and agreed-upon deliverables.
- Any work outside the agreed scope will be discussed and approved with you before additional charges are incurred.
Questions about your invoice
If anything on your invoice is unclear, I want to hear from you. Please contact me within 5 business days of receipt and I will review the charges with you. My goal is always a billing experience that feels fair, clear, and consistent with the work we agreed to do.
