Senior Personal Assistant
As a senior personal assistant, I take the practical weight off your day, with support focused on older adults.
The to-do list never ends. Appointments to schedule, calls to return, the pile on the table that grows faster than you can sort it. It is not that any one thing is hard. It is that there are so many, and the follow-through keeps slipping, and the weight of it all makes it harder to start. I take that weight on with you. We pick what matters, I carry it through to done, and you stay in charge of what gets done and how.
What I Can Take Off Your Plate
A sample, not a limit. If it is on your list and it is honest work, ask me.
Errands and shopping
Groceries, pharmacy pickups, hardware store runs, returns, and the trip you keep putting off because it is never quite worth the drive.
Driving and getting there
Rides to appointments, the ferry, the airport, or across the island, with someone who will wait and bring you home.
Phone calls and hold time
The utility company, the cable company, the warranty department. I make the call, I sit on hold, and I get you an answer.
The paper pile
Mail, filing, subscriptions you no longer want, and the stack on the kitchen table. Sorted, handled, and put where you can find it.
Scheduling and your calendar
Booking appointments, arranging the week so things do not collide, and reminding you what is coming without nagging.
Technology that stopped cooperating
The phone, the printer, the TV remote, the tablet the grandkids set up. Patient help, no sighing, no jargon.
Waiting for the repair person
Scheduling contractors, being at the house for the four-hour window, and following up when they do not come back.
Organizing and downsizing
A closet, a garage, a whole house. We go at your pace, and I make the donation and disposal runs.
Pets
Vet appointments, food and supply runs, and arranging care when you are away or laid up.
Correspondence and occasions
Cards, letters, thank-yous, gifts, and the birthdays you do not want to be the person who forgot.
Travel and visitors
Planning a trip, packing, arranging the details, or getting the house ready before family arrives.
Household coordination
Housekeepers, yard help, and seasonal maintenance. Finding them, scheduling them, and keeping it running.
Rate
You only pay for the time we actually use. Rates are confirmed in writing before any work begins, and if your needs change mid-project, I will talk it through with you before anything changes.
Senior personal assistant work is practical and hands-on: the doing. Advocacy work is speaking up for you inside systems that are hard to navigate on your own: appointments, housing decisions, care arrangements. Many clients use both, and we can move between them as your week requires. See Independent Advocate for that side of the work.
